Motorcycles and Palm Trees...

I made this card for my husband's birthday. He rides a motorcycle and we both love warm weather, sunshine and palm trees.  We don't have warm weather or sunshine in Indiana today and we never have palm trees, but I wanted him to think of all good things on his birthday.  :)   I used several Hero Arts stamp sets on this card including the new Going set. I also used some paper from Basic Grey's Hopscotch collection. I used a Galaxy sparkle pen to color in the wheels, engine, and pipes, etc. Makes them look like chrome. :)

Hope you have a great week! :)

Love

I was so excited to see my Valentine's Day card featured on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog today. I may also enter this card into the Hero Arts February contest. I love that silly scape stamp. It's one of my favs! I also love the Cuttlebug embossed heart folder.

Hope you're having a great week!  It's supposed to warm up and get into the 30s tomorrow and maybe 40 this weekend. Can't wait since it's only 1 degree here today!

Flowers for Friends

Quick post today. Come to think of it, it seems that I always say that and I'm not sure why because almost all of my posts are quick. :)  I got this new Hero Arts stamp and decided to make a quick card. I stamped and embossed it with black Zing embossing powder on kraft paper. I then used colored pencils to color in the flowers. I love the way the white shows up on kraft. I added a sentiment from an older Hero Arts set and then stamped the grass using a chalk ink. Then I added Hero Arts gems and pearls and called it done. I'm thinking of entering it in the Hero Arts contest this month.

Hope you're having a great Sunday! Are you voting for the Steelers or the Packers?

Back from Florida and a Birthday Owl

Well I'm back. We've returned from Florida on Friday the 28th, but we've had major ice storms here. We're wishing we could have stayed in FL for another week....or month!  :)  Anyway, I did have a chance to pull out a couple of my older Hero Arts stamps and create this birthday card.  I used my Copics to color in the big owl and then cut it out. I used Basic Grey paper/leaf and a chipboard flower.  This is a 5x5 square card.  I was so glad to hear that Hero Arts and Basic Grey are teaming up! Can't wait for their new releases! They are 2 of my favorite companies!

I hope you're warm and safe!  And I hope it's warmer than it is here wherever you are!  :)
