Taking a short break...

We are in Florida this week so I'm taking a short break from blogging. The weather is beautiful and we're loving the sun! It's been perfect.

I'm still trying to visit some blogs when I get a chance. Hope you have a great week!

Peace, Joy and Love

I decided to create a scrapbook layout since I haven't in awhile.  I used some of the new Basic Grey Nordic  Holiday papers and the older Origins paper to scrap this photo card of my niece and nephew from 2010.  The Peace, Joy, Love image was cut from the Silhouette and it's a Kerri Bradford design. I also cut the trees using the Silhouette and then stamped them with the Hero Arts Magical Background stamp.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope 2012 is off to a great start for you!  :)

Paper Crafts January 2012 Gallery Challenge

I made these cards to submit to the Paper Crafts January Gallery Challenge.  I just love the Bold Pop Design set and this snow guy/girl from Hero Arts. :)  Here is the snow girl....

And here is the snow guy....

I'm happy to say that we are having a great January so far with warmer temps and not a lot of snow which is the perfect winter for me.  :)

Hugs & Kisses

Hero Arts has their new January contest (Love, Hugs & Kisses) going on now and I used some of my new Hero Arts stamps and die sets to create this card so I can submit it. The bird is from an older Valentine's day set and I paper pieced the heart on her. I used two different stamp sets to create the sentiment. I'm going to send this card to my Mom in a care package. Hopefully she will not read this before she gets the package.  :)

Big Cupcake!

I just got this new Hero Arts zig zag cupcake stamp and it's great because it's BIG and can definitely be the focal point of the card. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the top of the cupcake to look more like frosting.  We sent this to my brother-in-law who is 46 this year.  I had to remind him of it.  :)  The background stamp is the Hero Arts Large plaid design block and the sentiment is from an older set called All Occasions.

Happy New Year and all the best for 2012!
